Developed by Clemenger BBDO, Sydney, the Mimeisthai project is an experience that brings to life the theme of TEDxSydney: "Real. Live. Now." The one-off installation, launched in May 2012, visualized the flow of ideas around the room at the conference in real time, creating "trending topics" by parsing through the hundreds of conversations taking place there, and putting keywords on a display on the main screen.

Beacon Communications K.K. created an ad campaign for Nike Baseball called "9 Heroes," an idea platform connecting every player on the team. The campaign involved sending mysterious packages of baseballs to clubhouses across Japan--with one ball for each member of the team. Each ball was a link to one of nine sites detailing the importance of every position, with 360-degree views of the baseball field from each position and testimonials from pro players.

Cheil Worldwide created a campaign for Samsung’s INsight that involved holding a special photography class for visually impaired children. The heartwarming ad shows the kids first interacting with the camera by touch, before taking an outdoor workshop to learn what makes an image worth capturing, even if you can’t see it.

Agency Taproot India created the short I Am Mumbai for the Mumbai Mirror newspaper. The ad, shot on the streets of Mumbai with a cast that hadn’t been in front of any cameras before, is presented through a series of stories featured in the paper. It presents the paper as a voice for the people.

See Asia's Most Creative Advertising Work

Asia Adfest recognizes the top creative from the Asia Pacific region.

An animated viral smash about death and a solar stunt were among the top winners at last week’s annual Asia Pacific Advertising Festival in Thailand, celebrating the best creative work from across the region.

From 3,507 entries, jurors, led by Graham Fink, CCO of Ogilvy & Mather China, gave out eight Grand Prize awards. The top performers at this show are among the work typically pegged to win at Cannes, adland’s big show in June.

Among the triumphant at Adfest: a beer ad with an irreverent attitude toward cinematic chase scenes and an Australian PSA that became a full-blown meme.
