Sarah Silverman Makes An Indecent Proposal To Billionaire Romney Backer

In typically ribald fashion, noted Obama supporter Sarah Silverman explains what lengths she’s willing to go to in order to convince one obscenely wealthy Romney donor to switch sides.

If you want to take down President Obama, it looks like you’re going to have to go through Sarah Silverman first. Again. And this time, there might even be some light scissoring involved.

In a new video she created with Barnacle Studios, Silverman informs viewers about casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, who pledged to donate $100 million to Mitt Romney in his quest to dethrone Obama. However, shortly into the video, Sarah proposes a counteroffer to Mr. Adelson, one that the adorably off-color comic makes in typical NSFW fashion.

After getting a description and dress-demonstration of the proposal in question, viewers are directed to for more information on Sheldon (including the facts that he is listed in the Forbes 400 as the eighth wealthiest American and that he is under investigation by the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission and the target of a civil lawsuit) and asked to sign a petition to "tell Mitt Romney to reject Sheldon Adelson’s support."

Find out the details of what she has in mind above, and revisit Sarah’s previous activism effort for Obama, "The Great Schlep," below.

Wow. The Obama crew must be getting desperate. Ms. Silverman, ur a total hottie & u could scissor me anytime u want. But let's not forget all the wall-street high-rollers & rich hollywood types who gave their money, by the truckload, to Obama pre-2008. Goldman Sachs was one of his donors back then. And many of those donors were paid back from the Bail Outs (read "slush fund".)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Romney. But the current president needs to step aside. It's time for 15% of the country to get back to work. It's time for the government to get out of the way & let companies here in the USA begin building things here again. It's time for all the class-warfare stuff to end. It's time for a nobel peace prize recipient to stop bombing & killing people around the world.

It's time for real change! It's time for Ron Paul for president... but most Americans don't have the courage to vote for real change. So I guess Romney is the next best choice.

Umm... I never said Romney would get people building things here in the US again. I doubt any politician can reverse that trend. If the government would just get out of the way the private sector might have a shot at doing that. I agree with you that corporate welfare needs to stop. But why do you think we have it in the first place? When any government becomes Big & powerful you're going to have corporations lining up for handouts & special favors. I would bet more than half of our tax code was created because of these special favors. As far as the bush tax cuts are concerned. Who cares what you call them. Why label tax cuts? Why not simplify the tax code in general and reduce taxes for everyone. Instead of taxpayer-funded bailouts for well-connected Wall Street oligarch's, news corporations & other Big companies. Why not just reduce tax rates across the board? That'll instantly leave people with more money in their pockets to stimulate the economy. Why print then borrow money to stimulate the economy? It makes the middle class, working poor & seniors on fixed income poorer in the process. That makes no sense.Do you progressives understand that when the government borrows money, which has to be printed out of thin air as part of the process, it results in a wealth transfer from the poor & the middle class to the so-called 1%?

First, I doubt Sarah Silverman is doing this at the behest of the "Obama Crew" whoever that might be. She's doing it for the attention first and to defeat Romney second-ish.

Goldman Sachs gave more money to Republicans during the 2010 election cycle. They're just giving to whoever they think will win. They have no loyalty to anything but making more money, otherwise they never would have orchestrated the CDO/CDS financial debacle to begin with.

Romney and Ryan want to bring back the Bush tax cuts which are an expansion of the Reagan tax cuts...David Stockman, Ronald Reagan's OMB Director (1981–1985) thinks Ryan's plan in particular is crazy. Bruce Bartlett who was an advisor to Reagan also thinks trickle down was a failure.

I do agree with you though, we need change of some kind. Our government spends more money on Corporate welfare than social welfare yet both the right and left feel like corporations aren't getting enough help. The SCOTUS has given corporations the rights of people and they're using that wealth to buy politicians through lobbyists. If only the mom and pop business owners down the road had that kind of direct government influence.

I do not understand all the bail out stuff or why we invaded Iraq for stuff that was not there. What I do know as a hard working mother of three is that my son spend years in these wars because he cared about his county and feels let down. When our solders are doing the jobs of Chany's company and the old boys that are connect to Bush while trying to keep them and others safe, it's wrong. To see your child change from being a supported of the republicans to dishing them because of what he expeianced oversees is enough proof for me. From a mother that bought protective gear for her son because Bush did not believe our children desired the best when laying their lives on the line for our county! And a parent who is still pround to have a child in the Service just ashamed of the republican party that no long represents the all people's or kids of the middle class!

As someone in the military now, we get LESS money under Obama then Bush. And ever since November 2008 I have been ashamed to be an American because of the idiot the other idiots of this country elected. But it is ok when the stock market and exchange collapse and we all have one currency, dont blame Bush or Republicans...Look no further then M. DumbA$$ Obama and his Dem. party.
And Sarah Silverman...who the hell cares what she thinks, if you take her seriously and belive what a comedian says about politics you are an idiot. I dont know why eveyone cares who Actors, Singers, Comedians and others back. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH and make your own choice.

  • Really

More than double the US soldiers have died in Afghanistan under Obama's watch than Bush. While I'm not particularly proud of the GOP either, I abhor the Democrat party.

We went to Iraq because Saddam supported the 9-11 terrorists, he helped fund their training! You won't hear that on the news, but he did! Did you know a large mural was found in one of his palaces, with his smiling mug with two planes hitting the towers? Not the artwork of an innocent man who knew nothing about the 9-11 plot! George Bush knew this and that's the real reason we went into Iraq, to stop Saddam from funding these terrorists! Here is the link to that mural: You may say that proves nothing, but look at it this way, if I killed your family and someone came into my house and saw a mural with your family's slain bodies and my smiling face next to their bodies, would you suspect me? Saddam was guility as hell, President Bush was right into going into Iraq!

I'm no fan of the series of wars and loss of life from both parties. I recently have created a blog on topics of geo politics and the suffering it causes. The soldiers that go off to war have fought for phoney reasons, sadly our children are signing up.

A blog about this issue will be written shortly, but please feel free to read and comment on http://pointlessfighting.blogs...
