Ever love a show so much it hurt? See images from Friday’s New York event, where tattoo artist Ami James administered tattoos of the sigils for each of the five noble houses of Westeros, from "Game of Thrones," returning to HBO on Sunday.

Winter is coming to the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, but here in New York, it’s spring--perfect weather for folks looking to show off brand-new Game of Thrones tattoos.

In case you haven’t heard already, there was an event held today at the Wooster Social Club in New York, anticipating Sunday’s premiere of the second season of Game of Thrones. Fans of the series were out in full force, with the most devoted among them allowing NY Ink tattoo artist Ami James to administer free tattoos--signifying lifelong allegiance to their favorite house.     I'd like to call this insane, but the honest truth is this is the greatest form of appreciation I can think of.  When a brand moves you and means something to you in a way that you want a permanent reminder of that feeling, whether it be strength/appreciation/seizing the day/being creative etc, in my opinion they've made a real difference.  

    Every brand should make it a goal to be so moving that customers are inspired to tattoo the brand on their body.
